How to Get to BFD in WoW Classic

BFD Quests in WoW Classic

There are a total of nine quests in WoW Classic that are related to BFD in WoW Classic Era, Hardcore, and Fresh. There are quests exclusive for the Alliance Alliance and exclusive for the Horde Horde.

Knowledge in the Deeps

The BFD quest AllianceQuestKnowledge in the Deeps requires level 10 and is sharable.

  • Start & End:
    • At Gerrig Bonegrip in The Forlorn Cavern in Ironforge.
  • Task :
    • Bring the Lorgalis Manuscript to Gerrig Bonegrip.
    • You find Lorgalis Manuscript Lorgalis Manuscript in a Pitted Iron Chest in Blackfathom Deeps. The chest is located in a niche north of Ghamoo-ra’s island.
  • Rewards:
    • 2,750 XP
    • 50 reputation with Ironforge
    • Sustaining Ring Sustaining Ring

Blackfathom Villainy

The BFD quest AllianceQuestBlackfathom Villainy requires level 18 and is sharable. It starts inside the instance.

  • Start:
    • Argent Guard Thaelrid in Blackfathom Deeps. You’ll find him by swimming through the underground passage to the south-west of Gamoo-ras island.
  • End:
    • Alliance At Dawnwatcher Selgorm on the Craftsmen’s Terrace in Darnassus (55.4 23.8).
    • Horde At Bashana Runetotem at The Elder Rise in Thunder Bluff (70.8 33.8).
  • Task :
    • Bring the head of Twilight Lord Kelris to Alliance Dawnwatcher Selgorm or Horde Bashana Runetotem.
    • Head of Kelris Head of Kelris drops from Twilight Lord Kelris in Blackfathom Deeps.
  • Item Reward:
    • 3,300 XP
    • 200 reputation with Argent Dawn
    • 200 reputation with Darnassus
    • Choose between Gravestone Scepter Gravestone Scepter and Arctic Buckler Arctic Buckler.

Researching the Corruption

The BFD quest AllianceQuestResearching the Corruption requires level 18 and is sharable.

  • Start & End:
    • Gershala Nightwhisper (38.4 43.0) in Auberdine in Darkshore.
  • Task:
    • Bring 8x Corrupted Brain Stem Corrupted Brain Stem to Gershala Nightwhisper.
    • Corrupted Brain Stem Corrupted Brain Stem drops from the following enemies:
      • BFD: Blackfathom Elite, Blackfathom Sea Witch, Blackfathom Myrmidon, Fallenroot Hellcaller, Fallenroot Shadowstalker, Lady Sarevess
      • Near the BFD entrance in Ashenvale: Fallenroot Rogue, Fallenroot Satyr, Blackfathom Oracle, Fallenroot Satyr, Blackfathom Tide Priestess.
  • Rewards:
    • 2,400 XP
    • 150 reputation with Darnassus.
    • Choose between Beetle Clasps Beetle Clasps and Prelacy Cape Prelacy Cape.

Twilight Falls

The BFD quest AllianceQuestTwilight Falls requires level 20 and is sharable.

  • Start & End:
    • At Dawnwatcher Selgorm on the Craftsmen’s Terrace in Darnassus (55.4 23.8).
  • Task:
    • Bring 10x Twilight Pendant Twilight Pendant to Argent Guard Manados.
    • Twilight Pendant Twilight Pendant drops from the following enemies in BFD: Twilight Reaver, Twilight Aquamancer, Twilight Loreseeker, Twilight Acolyte, Twilight Shadowmage and Twilight Elementalist.
  • Rewards:
    • 2,550 XP
    • 150 reputation with Argent Dawn
    • 150 reputation with Darnassus
    • Choose between Nimbus Boots Nimbus Boots and Heartwood Girdle Heartwood Girdle.

The following BFD quests are available for the Horde Horde in WoW Classic Era, Hardcore, and Fresh.

Allegiance to the Old Gods

The BFD quest HordeQuestAllegiance to the Old Gods requires level 17 and is not sharable.

  • Start:
    • Through Damp Note Damp Note which drops from Blackfathom Tide Priestess near the BFD entrance in Ashenvale.
    • For Damp Note Damp Note to drop, the quest QuestThe Essence of Aku'Mai must be in your quest log or completed. It starts from Je'neu Sancrea in Ashenvale (11.6 34.2)
  • End:
    • At Je'neu Sancrea in Ashenvale (11.6 34.2). After turning in Damp Note Damp Note, you’ll get the follow-up quest QuestAllegiance to the Old Gods which sends you into Blackfathom Deeps.
  • Task:
    1. Bring the Damp Note Damp Note to Je'neu Sancrea.
    2. Kill Lorgus Jett in Blackfathom Deeps and return to Je'neu Sancrea.
  • Rewards (for the second quest):
    • 2,650 XP
    • 150 reputation with Darkspear Trolls
    • Choose between Band of the Fist Band of the Fist and Chestnut Mantle Chestnut Mantle.

Blackfathom Villainy

The BFD quest HordeQuestBlackfathom Villainy requires level 18 and is sharable. It starts inside the instance.

  • Start:
    • Argent Guard Thaelrid in Blackfathom Deeps. You’ll find him by swimming through the underground passage to the south-west of Gamoo-ras island.
  • End:
    • Bashana Runetotem at The Elder Rise in Thunder Bluff (70.8 33.8).
  • Task :
    • Bring the head of Twilight Lord Kelris to Alliance Dawnwatcher Selgorm or Horde Bashana Runetotem.

  • Task :
    • Bring Strange Water Globe Strange Water Globe to Je'neu Sancrea.

  • Start & End:
    • Je'neu Sancrea in Ashenvale (11.6 34.2).
  • Task:
    • Bring 20x Sapphire of Aku'Mai Sapphire of Aku'Mai to Je'neu Sancrea.
    • Sapphire of Aku'Mai Sapphire of Aku'Mai can be looted from the blue crystals in the tunnels leading to the instance (not inside the instance).
  • Rewards:
    • 1,750 XP
    • 100 reputation with Darkspear Trolls

The BFD quest HordeQuestAmongst the Ruins requires level 21. It is sharable if the prerequisite quest has been completed by the other players.
