WoW Classic Upper Blackrock Spire Quests

General Drakkisath’s Demise

The quest General Drakkisath's Demise requires level 55 and is sharable if the prerequisite is met.

• Prerequisite: Completed General Drakkisath's Command in Lower Blackrock Spire. It is started by  General Drakkisath's Command which drops from the last boss Overlord Wyrmthalak in LBRS.
• Start & End:
  • Marshal Maxwell in Burning Steppes (84.6 68.8).
• Task:
  • Kill General Drakkisath, the last boss in Upper Blackrock Spire.
• Rewards:
  • 9,950 XP
  • Choose between  Mark of Tyranny,  Eye of the Beast, or  Blackhand's Breadth.

Doomrigger’s Clasp

The quest Doomrigger's Clasp requires level 57 and is sharable. It is the second quest of a series starting with Mayara Brightwing from Count Remington Ridgewell in Stormwind (74.0 30.0). However, the first quest is not a prerequisite to complete the following quests.

• Start & End:
  • Mayara Brightwing in Morgan’s Vigil in Burning Steppes (84.8 69.0).
• Task:
  • There is a chest in the Father Flame room (the room with the whelp eggs) in UBRS. Open the chest to loot  Doomrigger's Clasp and bring it to Mayara Brightwing.
• Rewards:
  • 1,650 XP

After turning in Doomrigger's Clasp you’ll get the follow-up quest Delivery to Ridgewell leading you to Count Remington Ridgewell in Stormwind (74.0 30.0). As a reward you can choose between  Swiftfoot Treads and  Blinkstrike Armguards.

Drakefire Amulet

The quest Drakefire Amulet requires level 50 and is sharable if the prerequisite is met. It’s the last quest in the Onyxia’s Lair attunement quest chain for Alliance.

• Prerequisite: Completed the previous quests in the Onyxia’s Lair attunement quest chain starting with Dragonkin Menace given by Helendis Riverhorn in Burning Steppes (85.6 69.0).
• Start & End:
  • Haleh in Winterspring (54.6 51.2).
• Task:
  • Kill the last boss General Drakkisath in UBRS, loot  Blood of the Black Dragon Champion, and bring it to Haleh.
• Rewards:
  • 8,300 XP

The Darkstone Tablet

The quest The Darkstone Tablet requires level 57 and is sharable. It is the second quest of a series starting with Vivian Lagrave and the Darkstone Tablet from Apothecary Zinge in Undercity (50.0 68.6). However, the first quest is not a prerequisite to complete the following quest.

• Start & End:
  • Shadowmage Vivian Lagrave in Kargath in Badlands (3.0 47.6).
• Task:
  • Find  Darkstone Tablet in the egg room in UBRS and bring it to Shadowmage Vivian Lagrave.
• Rewards:
  • 8,300 XP
  • Choose between  Swiftfoot Treads and  Blinkstrike Armguards.

For The Horde!

The quest For The Horde! requires level 55 and is sharable. It is part of the Onyxia’s Lair attunement quest chain for Horde.

• Prerequisite: Completed the previous two quests in the chain starting with Warlord's Command from Warlord Goretooth in Kargath in Badlands (5.8 47.6).
• Start & End:
  • Thrall in the Valley of Wisdom in Orgrimmar (32.0 37.8).
• Task:
  • Kill the sixth boss Warchief Rend Blackhand in UBRS, loot  Head of Rend Blackhand, and return to Thrall.
• Rewards:
  • 9,950 XP
  • Choose between  Mark of Tyranny,  Eye of the Beast, and  Blackhand's Breadth.

Eye of the Emberseer

The quest Eye of the Emberseer requires level 55 and is sharable if the prerequisite is met. It is part of the Hydraxian Waterlords quest chain.

• Prerequisite:
  • Completed the quests Stormers and Rumblers and Poisoned Water, both given by Duke Hydraxis in Azshara (79.2 73.6).
• Start & End:
  • Duke Hydraxis in Azshara (79.2 73.6).
• Task:
  • Kill the first boss Pyroguard Emberseer in UBRS, loot  Eye of the Emberseer, and bring it to Duke Hydraxis.
• Rewards:
  • 8,300 XP

Blackhand’s Command

The quest Blackhand's Command requires level 55 and is not sharable. It is the attunement quest for Blackwing Lair.

• Start:
  • Started by  Blackhand's Command which drops from Scarshield Quartermaster inside Blackrock Mountain (outside Blackrock Spire).
• End:
  • Drakkisath’s Brand in UBRS.
• Task:
  • Kill the last boss General Drakkisath in UBRS and use the orb behind him to finish the quest.
• Rewards:
  • 6,600 XP
  • BWL attunement

The Matron Protectorate

The quest The Matron Protectorate requires level 57 and is not sharable.

• Start:
  • Awbee (blue dragon whelp) inside Upper Blackrock Spire
• End:
  • Haleh in Winterspring (54.6 51.2).
    • To reach Haleh, enter the cave at 57 50. It is reccomended to do this in a group since the cave is full of elite dragonkin.
    • At the back of the cave you’ll find a blue rune on the ground. Standing on it will teleport you to Haleh.
• Task:
  • Bring  Awbee's Scale to Haleh.
• Rewards:
  • 6,600 XP

The Matron Protectorate marks the beginning of a quest chain which will reward you with  Breastplate of the Chromatic Flight and  Legguards of the Chromatic Defier or  Legplates of the Chromatic Defier at the end.

Pip Quickwit, At Your Service!

The quest Pip Quickwit, At Your Service! requires level 57 and is not sharable.

• Start:
  • Pip Quickwit who appears after you killed The Beast in UBRS.
• End:
  • Malyfous Darkhammer in Everlook in Winterspring (61.0 38.6).
• Task:
  • Bring  Glowing Hunk of the Beast's Flesh to Malyfous Darkhammer.
• Rewards:
  • 6,600 XP

Completing Pip Quickwit, At Your Service! will unlock several quests that will reward you with  Breastplate of Bloodthirst,  Cap of the Scarlet Savant, and  Leggings of Arcana.

The Demon Forge

The quest The Demon Forge requires level 55 and the Blacksmithing profession in WoW Classic. It is not sharable.

• Prerequisite:
  • Completed the quest Lorax's Tale also given by Lorax.
• Start & End:
  • Lorax in Winterspring (63.8 73.8).
• Task:
  1. Kill the third boss Goraluk Anvilcrack in UBRS and use  Blood Stained Pike upon his corpse. It will turn into  Soul Stained Pike.
  2. Find  Unforged Rune Covered Breastplate on a rack behind Goraluk Anvilcrack.
  3. Bring both  Soul Stained Pike and  Unforged Rune Covered Breastplate to Lorax.
• Rewards:
  • 8,300 XP
  •  Plans: Demon Forged Breastplate
  •  Demon Kissed Sack
  •  Elixir of Demonslaying x5
