Depending on your gear and raid, the stat weight between healing power and mp5 will change. You should prioritize healing power over mp5 until you notice that you run out of mana too fast. This heavily depends on your raid situations (kill speed, gear of the tanks, gear of you and the other healers, and amount of breaks for drinking). Therefore you should try to collect items with high healing power and mp5 and re-arrange the priority to your personal needs.

For  Priests the robe  Truefaith Vestments is a very powerful item. You need to level Tailoring to 300 to craft the robe. Use our WoW Classic Tailoring Leveling guide to level this profession efficiently.

¹ Your goal is to unlock the 3-piece bonus of your tier 2 set as fast as possible.  Pauldrons of Transcendence is BiS. If you don’t have  Truefaith Vestments you should use  Robes of Transcendence too. The third piece is more flexible. If you do not have  Crystal Adorned Crown,  Halo of Transcendence would be the best 3rd piece. If you do not have  Empowered Leggings,  Leggings of Transcendence would be the next best piece.
² Try to wear 3 pieces of your tier 1 set from Molten Core until you can unlock 8/8 pieces of your tier 2 set. Ideally, you’re equipping  Vambraces of Prophecy,  Gloves of Prophecy, and  Girdle of Prophecy. In the end, you will want to have 8/8 Vestments of Transendence.

You can still go 8/8 Tier 2 gear for your BiS. Most likely there is only one  Priest with 8/8 in a static raid group. In this case, you should discuss it with your raid group.
