Best Professions for Warlocks in WoW Classic
Finding the best profession for your Warlock in WoW Classic will depend on your game style.
- If you want to start with your best-in-slot gear before raiding, you need Tailoring. Tailoring allows you to craft
Robe of the Void. Robe of the Void can not be traded, so you have to craft it for yourself. You can drop Tailoring after you’ve crafted the item since Tailoring is not required to equip Robe of the Void. - If you plan on using the set bonus from
Bloodvine Vest, you need to learn Tailoring. The recipes for this set will be added in phase 4 with Zul'Gurub. - Engineering grants access to the most advantages in PvE and PvP. If you are into PvP or speedrunning raids, Engineering is highly recommended.
- In WoW Classic Hardcore, Engineering and Alchemy are the best professions. Both professions allow you to escape from difficult situations and possibly avoid death. With Engineering, you can use grenades for stuns and gadgets like
Target Dummy. With Alchemy, you have access to utility potions and potions to increase your defensive and offensive stats. - In WoW Classic Era and WoW Classic Fresh, Warlock don’t require a specific profession to min-max their character for raiding. If you lean more towards PvP, Engineering is one of the best professions you can have. Herbalism and Enchanting are popular alternatives if you are not into PvP or speedrunning raids.
- Princess runs in Maraudon and Whip Lasher farm in Dire Maul are popular ways to make gold as a Warlock. For these farms, you want Herbalism and optionally Mining.
Overall, the Warlock is a very flexible class in terms of professions.
