Lost Ark Loot Auction Calculator
After finishing a raid or dungeon in Lost Ark there is a loot auction. All participating players can bid on (more or less) random items in this auction. The winning bid will be split between all other players. Our Loot Auction Calculator for Lost Ark can help you to find the optimal bid value to make more Gold in Lost Ark.
Optimal Loot Auction Value
Selling an item at the market for 9,000 will net you 8,550
(deducting 450
market fee). These are your bid thresholds, depending on your goal:
- Equalized: all 8 players will earn 1,069
if one player bids 7,481
and sells it on the market.
- Profit: with a bid of 6,803
you would maximize your profit chance. The next player would need to bid more than 7,481
to outbid you.
- Personal Need: if you need this item for yourself you can bid between 7,481
and 8,183
. Pick the lower value for items where you expect no personal need from others (like class engravings if you're the only player needing it). Pick the higher value for items that others might need for themselves too, like e.g. a Grudge book.
* All calculations assume that the item will be sold for exactly 9,000 on the market.
Bonus Reward Chests
As you are in the process to optimize your raids you should have a look at our Lost Ark Bonus Reward Chest Calculator. It will help you to calculate whether the Bonus Reward Chest at the end of a dungeon is worth it or not.
Additional Notes On Loot Auctions

The calculator is showing the thresholds based on market value and player count. But there are a few things to consider:
- This doesn’t work for e.g. world bosses. Since you can’t know how many people participate, it can not be calculated this way. In these loot auctions, you could bid ~86% of the market value. This means you would make ~9% profit and others won’t outbid you because they would need to bid more than they would get for it (after market tax).
- You can always have someone in your raid who bids unexpectedly high. In some cases, it is better to bid higher than the optimal threshold just to reduce this risk.
- It’s personal preference but bidding for profit, in random groups, is not “scummy”. In a static group bidding equalized is the best option for everyone. It’s way better than disallowing bidding if someone else needs it (“need before greed” would heavily favor lucky players and/or underplayed classes).
