What is the Best Syndicate in Star Wars Outlaws?
In the first few hours of your playthrough of Star Wars Outlaws, the Pyke Syndicate is the best syndicate to build a reputation for. You’ll come across the Pyke Syndicate quite often at the start of the main story, which makes it easier to build a reputation. In addition, the first areas and quests are in Pyke areas. Having a good reputation allows you to enter large parts of the areas unhindered. If your reputation level is only “Poor” or lower, you’ll have to fight or sneak your way through the areas. To quickly reach the “Good” reputation level at the start of the game, it helps to make the right decision between Eleera and Gorak during the Underworld quest.
After that, we recommend reaching the “Good” level with as many syndicates as possible. Once you’ve done that, you can start maximizing your reputation with the first syndicate. Which syndicate you choose first depends on your play style, as each syndicate offers equipment with different effects.
Which Syndicates Provide Which Equipment?
In Star Wars Outlaws there are the following 4 syndicates where you can build a reputation and strengthen your character through the syndicate’s equipment:
- Hutt Cartel
The Hutt Cartel’s equipment makes you better at handling picked-up weapons and grenades. The set bonus increases the adrenaline received for kills with grenades and refills grenades when enemies are defeated during an adrenaline rush. - Crimson Dawn
Equipping Crimson Dawn improves your ambush attacks and movement speed while stealth. With the set bonus, Smoke Bombs charge your Stun Shot, and hits with the Stun Shot reset the Smoke Bomb’s cooldown. - Pyke Syndicate
By equipping the Pyke Syndicate, you will improve your blaster skills and benefit more from adrenaline rushes. The set bonus increases the probability of not being discovered by Imperials and the wanted level decreases significantly faster. - Ashiga Clan
The Ashiga Clan’s equipment makes you more robust in battle and harder to kill. The set bonus also reduces damage when you’re low on health and triggers your blaster’s supercooling when you kill an enemy with low health.
You can build up your reputation with each of the syndicates. Once you have maximized your reputation, you can buy equipment that grants the set bonus mentioned above.
How Do You Get Reputation with Syndicates in Star Wars Outlaws?
You can build a reputation in Star Wars Outlaws in the following ways:
- Hand over data you find to the syndicate smugglers. Which data is of interest to which syndicate will depend on the interests of the specific organization. For example, the Pyke Syndicate is primarily interested in data about spaceships and advanced weapons.
- Try to stay undetected in missions against a syndicate. Your reputation will only be lowered if they catch you.
- There are random events in the game where you can help a syndicate. If you discover such an event, you should react accordingly.
- Make the right choice in decision quests. Some also reduce a syndicate’s reputation, such as the decision to double cross the Hutts in the Sabotage quest.
Most syndicates can be found on multiple planets. However, each syndicate has one celestial body as its main base. In our Star Wars Outlaws planet overview you can find out more about the planets and moons that can be traveled to.
How Important is Syndicate Reputation in Star Wars Outlaws?
For a normal playthrough, it is very helpful to keep your reputation with all 4 syndicates at least at “Good”. This allows you to enter areas controlled by the respective syndicate without being attacked. If your reputation falls below this level, they will not let you walk through their areas. This would make some quests take significantly longer as you would have to sneak into the areas.
Can You Maximize Reputation with All Syndicates?
Yes, it is possible to increase your reputation to the maximum with all Star Wars Outlaws syndicates. To do this, you must complete repeatable missions.
If you increase your reputation with a syndicate to the maximum, you will also unlock a trophy. In our list of all Star Wars Outlaws Trophies, you can find all unlockable Trophies in the game.
