Classes in WoW Classic

WoW Classic Classes

In WoW Classic, the class is determined directly when creating the character. Your choice of class determines what armor and weapons you can wear, what roles you play in dungeons, raids, and PvP, and what spells are available to you. In WoW Classic you can choose between 9 classes, which can then be further specialized. You can find an overview of all classes and guides in our WoW Classic classes overview.

What is the Best Solo Class in WoW SoD?

The best classes to play solo in WoW SoD are Hunter Hunter, Mage Mage and Warlock Warlock. With their strong runes, these classes are even better solo than they were in Classic Era. With the addition of the tanking role, Warlock Warlock has become one of the strongest classes to farm dungeons with bosses solo. Hunter Hunter and Mage Mage are strong for AoE farming dungeons and making gold.

In WoW Classic Era Warriors Warriors are the weakest class solo, especially in lower levels. In WoW SoD Warriors receive runes that change their biggest weaknesses. They are more mobile and get self-healing for more sustained leveling.

With all the runes and changes we see in SoD, pretty much every class will be able to do solo content. Therefore picking a strong “solo class” has less impact in SoD, than it had in Classic Era, Hardcore, or Vanilla.
