WoW Classic Love is in the Air

“Love is in the Air” is a seasonal Valentine’s Day event in WoW Classic that starts in February each year. During the event, you can woo NPCs, receive gifts in return, create gift collections, and complete an event questline.

The “Love is in the Air” event went live on February 11, 2025, and will likely end on February 16, 2025.

Love is in the Air Rewards in WoW Classic

During the “Love is in the Air” Valentine’s event in WoW Classic, you’ll be able to gain the following rewards:

• 8 different 1-hour buffs that e.g. increase your Agility, Intellect, or Stamina.
• One of the following suits or dresses:
  •  Blue Dinner Suit
  •  Red Dinner Suit
  •  Purple Dinner Suit
  •  Lovely Purple Dress
  •  Lovely Blue Dress
  •  Lovely Red Dress

Love is in the Air Buffs in WoW Classic

The following 1-hour buffs are available during the Love is in the Air event in WoW Classic:

* Note: Only one of the gift collection buffs can be active at a time. If one is already active and you try to get another one, the existing one will be overwritten.

How to Farm Box of Chocolates

You can farm  Box of Chocolates during the Valentine’s event, so you can have valuable buffs like  Dark Desire on your main character for the whole year. Another option is to sell  Box of Chocolates for gold to other players. Follow these steps, to farm  Box of Chocolates:

1. Create a new level 1 character and walk this character to the city.
2. Give 1  10 to this character. Go to the Inn and buy  Love Token and  Cologne Bottle or  Perfume Bottle.
3. Make sure Auto Loot is deactivated.
4. Use  Cologne Bottle or  Perfume Bottle and talk to a guard. Select the dialogue option to receive a Gift of Adoration (e.g.  Gift of Adoration: Orgrimmar). You will get the debuff  Adored.
5. Check if Gift of Adoration contains  Box of Chocolates. Make sure Auto Loot is deactivated, so you don’t loot the box.
6. If the Gift of Adoration contains a  Box of Chocolates, give the Gift of Adoration to a dedicated Alt. The purpose of this Alt is to hold all Gift of Adorations with  Box of Chocolates in them. You need a second account or a friend you trust to make the trade.
7. Wait till  Adored is gone. You need to stay logged in for one hour or be logged out in a city for 8 hours. Do not log in during these 8 hours.
8. Repeat these steps starting from step 3 every time  Adored falls off.

You can create as many characters as you want, to maximize the amount of  Box of Chocolates you’ll farm. Just repeat the steps above for each character you’ve created.

Why is the dedicated Alt to store  Box of Chocolates important? “Gift of Adoration” has a 7-day timer until it disappears. The timer is only running while the character is logged in. By having a dedicated storage character you can minimize the time this character is logged in. Therefore, you can have Gift of Adorations stored for a whole year.

How to Get Gifts And Pledges of Adoration

To obtain a Gift of Adoration or Pledge of Adoration, you must first woo an NPC. To do this, proceed as follows:

1. Purchase the following items from an Innkeeper:
   •  Cologne Bottle or  Perfume Bottle (1 each, 10 charges)
     • If you wear  Cologne Bottle, you can interact with female NPCs.
     • If you wear  Perfume Bottle, you can interact with male NPCS.
   •  Love Token (10 each, 10 pieces)
2. Use  Cologne Bottle or  Perfume Bottle and approach a female or male NPC. A heart will appear above your chosen one’s head.
3. Click on the NPC. A dialog box will open and you can give them a  Love Token.

The first time you give an  Love Token to an NPC, you will receive one of six Pledges of Adoration (from a guard) or Gift of Adoration (from a normal resident) that reflect the city you are currently in.

Pledge/Gift of Adoration can contain a combination of the following items:

• 2-4x  Unbestowed Friendship Bracelet
• 5x  Handful of Rose Petals
• 3-5x  Love Fool
•  Bag of Candies
•  Lovely Black Dress
•  Box of Chocolates – with a mixture that can consist of the following chocolates:
  •  Dark Desire
  •  Very Berry Cream
  •  Buttermilk Delight
  •  Sweet Surprise
  •  Empty Wrapper

In addition to the pledge/gift, you will also receive the 1-hour buff  Adored or – if you are unlucky –  Heartbroken.

•  Adored: While  Adored is active, you cannot receive any further Pledges/Gifts of Adoration. Instead, you will receive a Pledge/Gift of Friendship which are used to make gift collections.
•  Heartbroken: As long as  Heartbroken is active, you cannot interact with any NPCs. This condition expires after one hour. However, it can also be healed with the help of  Unbestowed Friendship Bracelet, which you get from a fellow player.

How To Make Gift Collections in WoW Classic

To create gift collections during the Love is in the Air event, you will need to collect various event items and combine them. You can either use Gift Collections to get a 1-hour buff or combine them into an even larger gift collection.

You get the items you need to create gift collections from Gift/Pledge of Friendship. Once you have the buff  Adored, you will no longer receive Gift/Pledge of Adoration, but rather Gift/Pledge of Friendship from the guards and residents of the respective city.

Crafting a gift collection will grant you one of the 1-hour-buffs that lasts for one hour. Note that the buff becomes active as soon as you have crafted the collection. If you want to use the buff during a raid, for example, keep the individual components and only combine them when you need the buff.

Alternatively, you can combine the gift collections to create a larger collection.

Combine Gift Collections and Cast Your Vote

You can combine the gift collections again and craft the following gift collections:

•  Alliance Gift Collection
  •  Darnassus Gift Collection
  •  Ironforge Gift Collection
  •  Stormwind Gift Collection
•  Horde Gift Collection
  •  Orgrimmar Gift Collection
  •  Thunder Bluff Gift Collection
  •  Undercity Gift Collection

With  Alliance Gift Collection or  Horde Gift Collection you can vote for your favorite faction leader. To cast your vote, go to Kwee Q. Peddlefeet near the leader you want to vote for (Quest Gift Giving).

As a reward for voting, you will receive  Box of Chocolates and can choose between  Handful of Rose Petals and  Silver Shafted Arrow.

After the event ends, Kwee Q. Peddlefeet will stay in the winning leader’s city for an extra week. If you throw a /kiss emote at him, you will receive a +200 HP buff during this time that lasts for 1 hour.

Love is in the Air Quests in WoW Classic

During the Valentine’s event in WoW Classic, the Dangerous Love quest line is available. As a reward at the end of the quest line, you can choose one of 6 items of clothing.

Note: There are neither experience points nor reputation for the quest series. The quest line can only be completed once per year per character.

The Source Revealed

The quest The Source Revealed requires level 1 and is sharable.

• Start: At Evert Sorisam in Stormwind (39.8 46.8)
• Task: Find Apothecary Staffron Lerent behind Ravenhold Manor in Hillsbrad Foothills. Specifically, Apothecary Staffron Lerent is located at (89.2 75.0) in Alterac Mountains. To find him, follow these steps:

1. Go to 75 24 in Hillsbrad Foothills. From there, a small path leads north.
2. Follow the path through a cave until you reach the Ravenholdt Manor.
3. When you’re at the door of the manor, go right and cross the fighting ring.
4. Follow the path that leads up between the hills behind the fighting ring to Apothecary Staffron Lerent at 89.2 75.0. In the video, you can see the exact route in detail.

• Task: Find Apothecary Staffron Lerent behind Ravenhold Manor in Hillsbrad Foothills. Specifically, Apothecary Staffron Lerent is located at (89.2 75.0) in Alterac Mountains. To find him, follow these steps:

1. Go to 75 24 in [Hillsbrad Foothills Zone]. From there, a small path leads north.
2. Follow the path through a cave until you reach the Ravenholdt Manor.
