Cooking in WoW SoD
The Season of Discovery (SoD for short) is the second season in WoW Classic. WoW Classic: SoD is divided into several phases. Since each phase has a character level cap, there is a limit to how high you can skill Cooking in the current phase.

Cooking in WoW SoD Phase 5-7
In SoD Phase 5, 6, and 7, professions are uncapped. You can level up to Cooking skill level 300 (Artisan). If you have already leveled Cooking to 300 in SoD P3 or P4, you do not need to level further in P5-7.
Cooking in WoW SoD Phase 4
In SoD Phase 4, professions are uncapped. You can level up to Cooking skill level 300 (Artisan). If you have already leveled Cooking to 300 in SoD P3, you do not need to level further in P4.
Cooking in WoW SoD Phase 3
In SoD Phase 3, professions are uncapped. You can level up to Cooking skill level 300 (Artisan).
Where to Learn Artisan Cooking in SoD Phase 3
To learn Artisan Cooking in SoD Phase 3, you’ll need to have reached a Cooking skill of 200, character level 41, and complete the following quest line:
Alliance: Quest 
I Know A Guy... from Daryl Riknussun in Ironforge (60.2 36.4).
Horde: Quest To Gadgetzan You Go! from Zamja in Orgrimmar (57.6 53.6).
These quests will lead you to Dirge Quikcleave in Gadgetzan (52.6 28.0). You will then receive the follow-up quest Clamlette Surprise from him. As part of this quest, you must bring Dirge Quikcleave the following:
- 12x
Giant Egg- Drops e.g. from Owlbeast mobs all over The Hinterlands.
- 10x
Zesty Clam Meat- Can be fished in Azshara, Feralas, The Hinterlands, and Tanaris.
- 20x
Alterac Swiss- Sold by Food and Drinks vendors and Innkeepers, e.g.
- Elaine Trias in Stormwind (60.6 63.4)
- Innkeeper Pala in Thunder Bluff (45.8 64.6)
- Innkeeper Abeqwa in Thousand Needles (46.0 51.6)
- Truk Wildbeard in The Hinterlands (14.4 42.6)
- Sold by Food and Drinks vendors and Innkeepers, e.g.
Once you’ve completed the quest, you’ll learn Artisan Cooking.
Cooking in SoD Phase 2
In SoD Phase 2 the maximum character level is 40. The level requirement for Artisan has been increased to level 41 (normally level 35) for all professions in SoD. This means that in Phase 2 the maximum Cooking skill level is 225 (Expert). In Phase 2 it will therefore not be possible to bring Cooking to the maximum skill level of 300.
Where to Learn Expert Cooking in SoD Phase 2
To learn Expert Cooking in SoD Phase 2, you’ll need to have reached an Alchemy Skill of 125, character level 26, and 
Expert Cookbook (costs 1 gold). You can buy the item from the following vendors:
- Alliance: Shandrina at Mystral Lake in Ashenvale (49.6 67.0)
- Horde: Wulan in Shadowprey Village in Desolace (26.2 69.8)
Cooking Gold Making and Leveling in SoD
The best way to level Cooking in SoD while making gold from it is to craft items that are needed to turn Waylaid Supplies into 
Supply Shipment. To level Cooking this way, you mainly craft the items needed to complete Waylaid Supplies. To do so you buy the materials needed in the auction house, craft the items, and then sell them with profit in the auction house.
