What is the Best Race for Rogues in WoW Classic?
The best race for a Rogue depends on whether you are playing on the Alliance or horde side:
Alliance
- For PvE
Human is the best race for Alliance Rogues.
- For PvP
Gnome is the best choice for Alliance Rogues.
Horde
- For PvE
Troll is the best race for Horde Rogues.
- For PvP
Orc, followed closely by
Undead, is the best choice for Horde Rogues.
What Are the Best Professions for Rogues in WoW Classic?
In WoW Classic, and especially in Season of Discovery, the best professions for Rogues are Leatherworking and Engineering. With Leatherworking you can craft leather armor pieces that are pre-Raid BiS or even BiS for the current phase of SoD. Engineering is always a useful profession. Even more so, if you play on a PvP realm.
But having 2 crafting professions has some downsides too. If you are unsure what professions to pick, these are your options:
- If you want to min/max your character, you choose Leatherworking and Engineering. Be aware: you need to buy materials like leather and ore on the auction house or have a second char to farm these materials.
- If you want to be self-sustained and still maxing your DPS you go Skinning and Leatherworking or Mining and Engineering.
- If you play only one character, Herbalism and Alchemy is a strong contender. Herbalism lets you gather your own
Swiftthistle and
Fadeleaf.
Swiftthistle is used for
Thistle Tea while
Fadeleaf is needed for
Blinding Powder.
