2 This quest requires Shadowcraft Spaulders Shadowcraft Spaulders from Stratholme, Shadowcraft Boots Shadowcraft Boots from Scholomance, and Shadowcraft Pants Shadowcraft Pants from Stratholme to complete.
3 Combine Shadowflame Skull Shadowflame Skull with Implacable Blackguard Implacable Blackguard to get Shadowflame Sword Shadowflame Sword. Shadowflame Skull Shadowflame Skull drops in Molten Core. To get Implacable Blackguard Implacable Blackguard you need to turn in Blackguard Blackguard, 25 Firelands Ember Firelands Ember, and 2 Lava Core Lava Core at Lokhtos Darkbargainer in Blackrock Depths. Blackguard Blackguard is crafted with Blacksmithing and requires materials from Molten Core.

Fire Resistance for Heat Level 2 and Heat Level 3

To raid the more difficult heat levels in Molten Core you need to hit Fire Resistance thresholds. For Heat Level 2 you need at least 96 Fire Resistance and for Heat Level 3 you need at least 226 Fire Resistance. To increase your Fire Resistance you can equip gear, utilize enchantments, use consumables, and get buffs from your Druids Druids, Shamans Shamans 1, and Paladins Paladins 1.

Use the following sources to increase your Fire Resistance to the required threshold:

Using Fire Resistance items often results in a DPS loss in comparison to your BiS list. After you’ve acquired new raid items recalculate your Fire Resistance and re-optimize your gear loadout.

🔥 Since the boss Garr from Molten Core can dispel magic effects, you should make sure your Rogue Rogue is hitting the Fire Resistance threshold without Mark of the Wild Mark of the Wild for that specific fight. This might require you to have some off-pieces for that boss fight.

1 For most guilds, it is not recommended to rely on Shaman Shaman totems or Paladin Paladin auras to hit the minimum Fire Resistance thresholds. If the aura or totem is out of range or the player dies, you will lack Fire Resistance. Use the totems or auras as additional mitigation, but calculate your Fire Resistance without them.

Tank Rogue Rotation

The rotation for a Tank Rogue Rogue is better described as a priority list. Follow these priorities while tanking raids or dungeons:

  1. Keep Blade Dance Blade Dance up.
  2. Keep Slice and Dice Slice and Dice up.
  3. Use Riposte Riposte whenever possible.
  4. Use Blunderbuss Blunderbuss if you have 3 or less combo points.
  5. Use Eviscerate Eviscerate If all the finishers above are active and you have 5 combo points.
  6. Use Main Gauche Main Gauche whenever possible.
  7. Use Sinister Strike Sinister Strike if you have 4 or less combo points.

Tank Rogue Consumables in SoD

The following list of consumables can be used by Tank Rogues Rogues in endgame raids at level 60:

Don’t use Sebacious Poison Sebacious Poison on your main-hand weapon, if you have Windfury Totem Windfury Totem or Wild Strikes Wild Strikes. Always use it on your off-hand weapon.

Tank Rogue Stat Priority

As a Tank Rogue Rogue you want to prioritize gear with the following stats:

  1. Up to 9% Melee Hit Chance against level 60 raid bosses.
  2. Agility.
  3. Stamina.
  4. Strength.
  5. Attack Power.

With your finger rune and the Precision Precision talent, you only need 1% Hit Chance to reach the Melee Hit Cap. For your poisons, you still profit from Hit Chance until you reach the 16% Spell Hit Chance cap. But starting at a Hit Chance of 9%, Hit Chance has a lower priority than before.
