Runes are items that you can find in the world in the Season of Discovery of WoW Classic. Runes can be assigned to equipment slots and give your character powerful passive effects. This WoW SoD Shaman Runes guide explains which Shaman runes are available in SoD, and how you can get them. Included are detailed descriptions of the Shaman rune locations.

How to Get All Shaman Runes in SoD
The following runes are available for the Shaman in SoD. Click on a rune to go directly to the location description.
Update: Since December 2024, all SoD runes and skill books can be purchased from Rune Brokers at level 1. The runes no longer have to be found or unlocked by completing quests (although this is still possible). You’ll find Rune Brokers e.g. at the following locations:
- Rune Broker at 49.6 46.2 in Orgrimmar.
- Rune Broker at 22.8 13.8 in Thunder Bluff.
- Rune Broker at 79.4 19.8 in Undercity.

How to Get Overload in SoD
You get the Overload rune (Chest) at level 2 in your starting zone in Season of Discovery as follows.
Troll &
Orc:
- Accept the quest
Icons of Power from Shikrik with level 2 in Durotar (42,4 69,0).
- Kill Scorpid Worker until they drop one
Dyadic Icon.
- Equip
Dyadic Icon in your relic slot.
- Continue fighting Scorpid Worker to receive nature damage. Each time, you’ll get a stack of the
Inspired buff. Do this until you have received nature damage 10 times.
- Use
Dyadic Icon now.
- Return to Shikrik to complete the quest.
- Accept the quest
Tauren:
- Accept the quest
Icons of Power from Meela Dawnstrider with level 2 in Mulgore (45 76).
- Kill Bristleback Shaman until they drop one
Dyadic Icon.
- Equip
Dyadic Icon in your relic slot.
- Continue fighting Bristleback Shaman to receive nature damage. Each time, you’ll get a stack of the
Inspired buff. Do this until you have received nature damage 10 times.
- Use
Dyadic Icon now.
- Return to Meela Dawnstrider to complete the quest.
- Accept the quest
Tip: To receive nature damage you can also duel another Shaman,
Druid, or
Hunter.
How to Get Ancestral Guidance in SoD
You get the Ancestral Guidance rune (Legs) in the starting zones in Season of Discovery as follows:
Note: A second healing class player is required to get the rune.
- Durotar:
- At 48.0 79.6 southwest of Sen’jin, interact with Adventurer's Spirit to spawn a portal.
- A second healing class player in your party needs to click on that portal.
- Mulgore:
- At 60.4 33.6 in the Venture Co Mine interact with Adventurer's Spirit to spawn a portal.
- A second healing class player in your party needs to click on that portal.
How to Get Shield Mastery in SoD
You get the Shield Mastery rune (Chest) in the starting zones in Season of Discovery as follows:
- Mulgore:
- Find a glowing totem and interact with it to get
Galvanic Icon.
- The totem can spawn all over Mulgore. A thunderstorm noise indicates that a totem just spawned near your location.
- Equip
Galvanic Icon in your relic slot.
- Defeat 10 enemies with
Lightning Bolt (killing blow needs to be with
Lightning Bolt).
- Use
Galvanic Icon to learn the rune.
- Find a glowing totem and interact with it to get
- Durotar:

You get the Molten Blast rune (Hands) in the starting zones in Season of Discovery as follows:

- Kill dwarves northwest of Bloodhoof Village around (33 48) until they drop

- Find the chest at 31.6 49.5 in the Bael’Dun Digsite.
- Open the chest with
Artifact Storage Key to get
Sulfurous Icon.
- Equip
Sulfurous Icon.
- Defeat 10 enemies with
Earth Shock.
- Use
Sulfurous Icon to learn
Molten Blast.
- Kill dwarves northwest of Bloodhoof Village around (33 48) until they drop

- Find Frozen Makrura at 58.6 45.6 east of Razor Hill in a hut.
- Use fire spells to stack a fire damage debuff five times and get
Sulfurous Icon.
- Equip

- Defeat 10 enemies with
Earth Shock.

How to Get Lava Lash in SoD
You get the Lava Lash rune (Hands) in Mulgore in Season of Discovery as follows:
- Go to Boarton Shadetotem in Thunder Bluff at 39.5 65.9 and accept the quest
Stalk With The Earthmother.
- Collect 5x
Seaforium Mining Charge in the Venture Co. Mine at 61 47 from carts in the mine.
- Return to Boarton Shadetotem, turn in the quest, and accept the follow-up quest
Stalk With The Earthmother.
- Go to the area with harpies and dead trees northwest of Thunder Bluff.
- Loot 8x
Windfury Cone that are lying on the ground.
- Use
Mortar and Pestle (provided) to combine the
Windfury Cone to
Pine Salve.
- Return to Boarton Shadetotem, turn in the quest, and accept the follow-up quest
Stalk With The Earthmother.
- Obtain a
Raw Brilliant Smallfish by fishing in the pool in the middle of Mulgore or buying it from the Auction House.
- Use
Knife Set to turn
Raw Brilliant Smallfish into
Fish Chunks.
- Return to Boarton Shadetotem, turn in the quest, and you’ll learn
Lava Lash.
Note: As a reward, you’ll also get the Dual Wield proficiency (not to be confused with the Dual Wield Specialization rune).
How to Get Way of Earth in SoD
You get the Way of Earth rune (Legs) in the level 10+ quest zones in Season of Discovery as follows:
- Silverpine Forest:
- Kill Rot Hide Mystic around (45 21) until you get
Rot Totem.
- Use
Rot Totem to summon a level 15 Elite. Kill it to get
Way of Earth.
- Kill Rot Hide Mystic around (45 21) until you get
- The Barrens:
- Use
Purge on Desert Mirage around (59 37).
- Use
How to Get Water Shield in SoD
You get the Water Shield rune (Hands) in the level 10+ quest zones in Season of Discovery as follows:
- The Barrens:
- Kill Kolkar until they drop
Kolkar Booty Key.
- Use
Kolkar Booty Key to open one of their chests at around (44 38) or (53 42) and get
Tempest Icon.
- Equip
Tempest Icon.
- Hit 10 non-player enemies with 3 different elements (Nature, Frost, Fire).
- Use
Tempest Icon to get
Water Shield.
- Kill Kolkar until they drop
- Silverpine Forest:
- Kill Grimson the Pale (around 59 45) to get
Tempest Icon.
- Equip

How to Get Greater Ghost Wolf in SoD
You get the Greater Ghost Wolf rune (Legs) in Stonetalon Mountains in Season of Discovery as follows:
- Find the elite Primordial Anomaly patrolling around in The Charred Vale in Stonetalon Mountains, near the cross-over to Desolace around 32 68.
- Kill Primordial Anomaly by exploiting his elemental weakness. He switches between three different forms:
Fire Form: immune to fire damage.
Nature Form: immune to nature damage.
Water Form: immune to water damage.
- Loot Primordial Anomaly to get
Rune of Primordial Fury.
Note: Greater Ghost Wolf replaces the Shamanistic Rage rune in SoD Phase 4. Shamanistic Rage is now learned as a baseline ability from a skill book.
How to Get Lava Burst in SoD
You get the Lava Burst rune (Hands) in Hillsbrad Foothills in Season of Discovery as follows:
- Go to Hillsbrad Foothills and kill Mudsnout Shaman (65 60), until they drop
Kajaric Icon.
- Equip
Kajaric Icon
- Find lava that damages you. The easiest spot to find is in Ragefire Chasm. Stand in the lava and let it damage you 5 times.
- Use
Kajaric Icon to get
Lava Burst.
How to Get Earth Shield in SoD
You get the Earth Shield rune (Legs) in Ashenvale in Season of Discovery as follows:
- Kill Baron Aquanis, the first boss in Blackfathom Deeps. He drops
Strange Water Globe that starts the quest
Baron Aquanis.
- Turn in
Baron Aquanis at Je'neu Sancrea at Zoram Strand in Ashenvale (11.6 34.2) and accept
Elemental Distress.
- Collect the following motes of elemental rage:
Mote of Torrential Rage: Drops from Befouled Water Elemental at Mystral Lake in the south of Ashenvale.
Mote of Seismic Rage: Drops from Enraged Stone Spirit and Furious Stone Spirit at the Charred Vale in Stonetalon Mountains.
Mote of Infernal Rage: Drops from Burning Destroyer, Burning Ravager, and Rogue Flame Spirit in and north of the Charred Vale in Stonetalon Mountains.
- Turn in the quest and accept
Elixir of Insight.
- Obtain
Elixir of Wisdom and
Elixir of Water Breathing for
Elixir of Insight, either through Alchemy or through the Auction House.
- Turn in the quest at Je'neu Sancrea and accept
Elixir of Insight.
- Use the
Elixir of Insight next to the bonfire near Je'neu Sancrea.
- Turn in the quest at Je'neu Sancrea and accept
Hirzek.
- Kill Hirzek in the south of the Barrens near Razorfen Kraul (43 | 79) to get
Hirzek's Staff.
- Return to Je'neu Sancrea, turn in the quest and you’ll get
Rune of Earth Shield.
How to Get Dual Wield Specialization in SoD
You get the Dual Wield Specialization rune (Chest) by buying it in Ratchet in Season of Discovery as follows:
Update: Since the hotfix on April 16, 2024, you can buy Rune of Dual Wield Specialization directly from Grizzby in Ratchet for 3g. It is no longer necessary to deliver the items listed below.
The following steps are no longer necessary to get the rune:
- Go to Ratchet in the Barrens and talk to Grizzby in the Inn (62 39). For his quests, you have to collect the following materials:
- 24x
Fish Oil:
- Drops from Murlocs and Naga e.g. in Hillsbrad Foothills.
- 20x
Dark Iron Ordinance:
- Drops from Level 27 – 31 Elite Dark Iron Dwarves in Wetlands.
- 16x
Shredder Turbocharger:
- To get
Shredder Turbocharger, use
Shredder Autosalvage Unit on Venture Co. Light Shredder in Stonetalon Mountains around Windshear Crag (not a guaranteed drop).
Shredder Autosalvage Unit is crafted by Engineering. The recipe is a drop from Sneed in Deadmines.

Let Me Make You An Offer from Grizzby.
- Hand in the quest to Zel'mak in The Valley of Honor in Orgrimmar (80.2 29.6).
- Accept the quest
You've Got Yourself A Deal from Zel'mak which leads you back to Grizzby in Ratchet.
- Hand in the quest to Grizzby. He will now sell you
Rune of Dual Wield Specialization for 3 gold.
If you can’t see the quest, your character level is too low. the quest should be available at level 20.
How to Get Healing Rain in SoD
You get the Healing Rain rune (Chest) by turning in Supply Shipments for reputation in Season of Discovery as follows:
Alliance:
- Can be purchased from the Azeroth Commerce Authority faction once Friendly has been achieved.
Horde:
- Can be purchased from the Durotar Supply and Logistics faction once Friendly has been achieved.

How to Get Spirit of the Alpha in SoD
You get the Spirit of the Alpha rune (Feet) in Thousand Needles in Season of Discovery as follows:
- Go to Freewind Post in Thousand Needles.
- At 45.7 52.3 jump down to the bridge below, then heal yourself if necessary.
- Jump down onto the mushroom-shaped rock below the bridge (46.8 53.5). There you’ll find a Weathered Cache.
- Find
Echo of the Alpha in the Weathered Cache and learn the rune from it.
How to Get Decoy Totem in SoD
You get the Decoy Totem rune (Feet) in Thousand Needles in Season of Discovery as follows:
- Get the following items in Thousand Needles:
- 3x
Cloud Serpent Fang by killing Cloud Serpents (can be found south of the Freewind Post and southeast of The Great Lift).
- 10x
Strong Harpy Feather by killing harpies west of Freewind Post around 28 49.
- 1x
Silken Thread from a vendor.
- 3x
- Combine 3x
Cloud Serpent Fang, 10x
Strong Harpy Feather, and
Silken Thread to
Offering to the Wind Spirit.
- Go to the Altar of the Wind Spirit at 39.3 41.7 behind a hut. It has the form of a wind serpent.
- Use
Offering to the Wind Spirit near the altar. You’ll get a slow fall buff.
- Jump off the cliff right by the altar and you’ll receive the rune.
How to Get Power Surge in SoD
You get the Power Surge rune (Waist) in Arathi Highlands in Season of Discovery as follows:
- Kill Boulderfist Ogre in the cave in Arathi Highlands around 34 44 until you get
Ogre Lightning Rod.
- Place
Ogre Lightning Rod into Soft Soil on the hill where the cave is.
- Cast 10x
Lightning Bolt on the
Ogre Lightning Rod. This spawns the Elite mob Tam'kar.
- Kill Tam'kar or survive long enough to get the rune.
How to Get Maelstrom Weapon in SoD
You get the Maelstrom Weapon rune (Waist) at level 30 in Season of Discovery as follows:
Preparation: Make sure to have 1x Crystal Vial with you. You will need it in Step 6.
- Get
Tattered Note from the last boss Charlga Razorflank in Razorfen Kraul. It starts the quest
Tattered Note (requires level 30).
- Turn in the quest at Rau Cliffrunner in Freewind Post in Thousand Needles (46.0 51.6). You’ll get the follow-up quest
Elemental Aid.
- Go to and pray at the Loa Altar at 80.0 67.8 in Alterac Mountains.
- Talk to Bath'rah the Windwatcher at 80.4 66.8 Alterac Mountains and turn in the quest. You’ll get the three quests
Power of da Wind,
Power of da Water, and
Power of da Earth.
- Collect the following items to complete the quests:
- 5x
Whirling Essence:
- Drops from wind elementals in Desolace (Whirlwind Ripper, Whirlwind Stormwalker).
- They mainly spawn all around the Kodo Graveyard.
- 5x
Rushing Essence:
- Drops from water elementals in Dustwallow Marsh (Withervine Creeper, Withervine Mire Beast, Withervine Bark Ripper, and Withervine Rager).
- They mainly spawn in the area between Brackenwall Village and Stonemaul Ruins.
- 5x
Rumbling Essence:
- Drops from earth elementals in Badlands (e.g. Lesser Rock Elemental northeast of Kargath).
- 5x
- Turn in the quests at Bath'rah the Windwatcher and he will you the follow-up quest
A Simple Container. You’ll need to bring him 1x
Crystal Vial.
- If you don’t have one with you, buy a
Crystal Vial (e.g. from Christoph Jeffcoat at the Tarren Mill Inn in Hillsbrad Foothills (62.2 19.0) or other Trade and Alchemy Suppliers)
- Turn in the quest. You’ll receive the quest
With Wind Beneath Your Wings.
- Return to Rau Cliffrunner in Freewind Post to bring him the filled veil. You’ll get the next quest
Calm Before the Storm.
- Drink the vial, talk to the Flight Master, kill the caster close by, and fight against the Elite mob Ravaging Tempest. You’ll get
Eye of the Tempest.
- Turn in the quest at Rau Cliffrunner. You’ll get the quest
Catching Up.
- Return to Bath'rah the Windwatcher and turn in the quest. You’ll get

How to Get Ancestral Awakening in SoD
You get the Ancestral Awakening rune (Feet) at level 30 in Season of Discovery as follows:
- Find the Extinguished Campfire at the Kodo Graveyard in Desolace at 47.5 54.6. You’ll get the quest
Highway Robbery (requires level 30).
- Go to Bibbly F'utzbuckle northeast of the Kodo Graveyard at 62.2 38.8 and turn in the quest. You’ll get the quest
On the Lam.
- Go to Booty Bay in Stranglethorn Vale. Turn in the quest at Tokal in the Booty Bay Inn (27.0 77.2). You’ll get the quest
Cherry for Your Thoughts?.
- Buy
Cherry Grog from Nixxrax Fillamug.
- Turn in the quest at Tokal. You’ll get the quest
No Honor Among Thieves.
- Use the rowboat found at 53 91 on the Arathi Highlands map. It will teleport you to the eastern shore.
- Talk to Illari Duskfeather at the docks (93.8 71.4 on the Arathi Highlands map).
- Fight Illari Duskfeather and loot her bag to get
Illari's Key.
Tip: If someone has just fought her, you can loot the key from her bag as well. Then wait for her to respawn, talk to her and you can continue to the next - Open the chest near Illari Duskfeather at the docks to turn in the quest. You’ll get
Jewel-Encrusted Box which contains
Rune of Ancestral Awakening.
Note: This questline only needs to be completed once per account starting in SoD Phase 5. You can then buy item Emblem of Dishonor from Pix Xizzix at 28.4 75.8 in Booty Bay and mail it to an alt char. The emblem can be redeemed at a Rune Broker in any of the major cities to unlock the corresponding rune of the class.
How to Get Fire Nova in SoD
You get the Fire Nova rune (Waist) in Season of Discovery as follows:
- Kill Flameseer Dubelen north of Thunder Axe Fortress in Desolace (56.5 21.8). You’ll get
Corrupted Fire Totem.
- Optional: Talk to Zor Lonetree in The Valley of Wisdom in Orgrimmar (39.0 38.0).
- Go to the Maraudon entrance in Desolace and find two crystals called Tear of Theradras in the caves:
- Orange side: 39 57 – you can use the following skip to get there:
- Die around 35.4 60.8 (overworld).
- Corpse run to 39.3 57.7 (indoor), rez, and get the crystal.
- Purple side: 27 57 – you can use the following skip to get there:
- Die around 28.5 57.6 (overworld).
- Corpse run to 28.1 57.4 (indoor) on the purple side and rez at the brazier.
- Jump straight down, land behind the leftmost purple crystal, and push yourself into the wall. You can reach the Tear of Theradras from there.
- Orange side: 39 57 – you can use the following skip to get there:
- Take the crystals to Zor Lonetree in The Valley of Wisdom in Orgrimmar (39.0 38.0).
- Talk to Arch Druid Hamuul Runetotem in The Elder Rise in Thunder Bluff (78.6 28.6).
- Talk to Flight Master Tal in Thunder Bluff (46.8 50.0) and travel to Moonglade.
- Talk to Keeper Remulos in Moonglade (36.2 41.8).
- Interact with the box at 55 65. You’ll get
Vial of Crystal Water.
- Use
Vial of Crystal Water to turn it into
Elemental Salve.
- Use
Elemental Salve to cleanse
Corrupted Fire Totem and you’ll get the rune.

How to Get Two-Handed Mastery in SoD
You get the Two-Handed Mastery rune (Chest) in Season of Discovery as follows:
- Talk to Dalaran Agent in Ariden’s Camp in eastern Deadwind Pass (52.0 34.6). You’ll get
Ariden's Sigil.
- Equip
Ariden's Sigil (or be with a player who has equipped it).
- Kill all 7 Dark Rider found around the following locations and obtain their relics. You will get the
Dark Presence buff when you’re in the right spot. Then use
Ariden's Sigil to reveal the Dark Rider.
- Deadwind Pass ~ 44 29 (drops
Curious Dalaran Relic)
- Duskwood ~ 23 46 (drops
Glittering Dalaran Relic)

The emblem can be redeemed at a Rune Broker in any of the major cities to unlock the corresponding rune of the class.
How to Get Burn in SoD
You get the Burn rune (Head) in the Season of Discovery as follows:
- Buy
Rune of Burn for 1g 60s from one of the following Emerald Wardens Quartermasters:
- Quartermaster Alandra south of [Seradane] in The Hinterlands (61.2 34.6).
- Quartermaster Falinar at The Twilight Grove in Duskwood (45.6 51.2).
- Quartermaster Kyleen northeast of Satyrnaar in Ashenvale (89.6 40.6).
- Quartermaster Valdane north of The Twin Colossals in Feralas (48.1 12.7).
Note: Until Phase 4, it was necessary to reach Friendly with the Emerald Wardens faction to buy the rune. In P4, this requirement was removed.
How to Get Mental Dexterity in SoD
You get the Mental Dexterity rune (Head) in Tanaris in the Season of Discovery as follows:
Note: You can skip steps 1-4 if you form a party or raid group with a player who has already completed them. Kill Enraged Voidwalker together and all group members will get the rune (make sure you hit the mob).
- Kill Wastewander Shadow Mage and Wastewander Thief east of Gadgetzan in Tanaris until you get
Coded Warlock Notes and
Wastewander Cipher.
- Note:
Coded Warlock Notes and
Wastewander Cipher are tradeable and can be bought at the Auction House.
- Note:
- Combine the two items to get
Deciphered Warlock Notes.
- Find the Cryptic Scroll of Summoning at 58.8 36.6 on the ground (not clickable).
- Stand on the scroll and use
Deciphered Warlock Notes. This will cause the level 43 elite Enraged Voidwalker to spawn.
Note: Enraged Voidwalker is immune to all shadow spells and you will loseDeciphered Warlock Notes on summon. Be prepared with holy spells if you plan to solo it.
- Kill Enraged Voidwalker to get
Rune of Mental Dexterity and learn the rune from it.
Note: The class Priest also gets one of their runes this way.
How to Get Rolling Thunder in SoD
You get the Rolling Thunder rune (Wrists) in Tanaris in the Season of Discovery as follows:
- Find Odd Totem in Tanaris at 43.0 41.2 and click on it.
- This turns you into
Ghost Wolf form and you’ll get the debuff
Totem Challenge (increases damage taken by 50% during the challenge).
- This turns you into
- Run to the second Odd Totem at the other end of the skeleton (45.6 37.8) and click on it.
- Loot the appearing box to get
Rune of Rolling Thunder.
How to Get Tidal Waves in SoD
You get the Tidal Waves rune (Head) in Feralas in the Season of Discovery as follows:
- Loot the Old Crate at 76.6 48.0 in Feralas inside the tent to get
Old Key.
- Open the chest underwater at 79.2 49.2 near the sunken boat. You’ll get
Rune of Tidal Waves.

How to Get Static Shock in SoD
You get the Static Shock rune (Wrists) in Feralas in the Season of Discovery as follows:
Prerequisite: A second player of any class is needed to get the rune.
- Find Charged Totem at 60.0 66.8 in Feralas.
- Both you and the other player click on the totem to get the
Charged Air buff.
- Kill mobs near the second player with nature damage (
Lightning Bolt,
Chain Lightning, or
Lightning Shield).
- This has a chance to give a nearby player with an active
Charged Air the
Static Buildup buff.
- For a higher chance of progging
Static Buildup, bring multiple
Shaman players.
- This has a chance to give a nearby player with an active
- Kill Whirling Tempest that spawns nearby after causing enough procs. It drops
Rune of Static Shock.
How to Get Overcharged in SoD
You get the Overcharged rune (Wrists) in the Season of Discovery as follows:
Note: You can skip steps 1-4 if you form a group with a player who has already completed them. Kill Twilight Dark Shaman together and all group members will get the rune (make sure you hit the mob). You don’t have to be level 45, any level can loot it with this method.
Prerequisite: Level 45 is required to accept the quests. You can get the rune without accepting the quests (see details above).

How to Get Riptide in SoD
You get the Riptide rune (Wrists) in the Season of Discovery as follows:

- Accept the quest
The Wild Gods from Shadowtooth Emissary in the Emerald Sanctuary in Felwood (51.6 82.0). Note: The quest requires level 40 and is not sharable.
- [Only needs to be completed by one player in the group] Kill elites in Jintha’alor in The Hinterlands until you get
Wildwhisper Draught.
- Kill the final boss in Razorfen Downs and clear the area.
- Use
Wildwhisper Draught on the small ledge. This will cause the Spirit of Agamaggan to spawn.
- Turn in the quest at the Spirit of Agamaggan. You will get
Agamaggan's Roar and the follow-up quest
The Wild Gods.
- Collect 3
Wild Offering in Zul’Farrak, Maraudon, or Blackrock Depths. You can go to the same dungeon multiple times (e.g. 3x Zul’Farrak). Everyone in the group can loot the items regardless of whether having the quest or not. However, to get the rune, you will need to accept the quest sooner or later.
- Zul’Farrak:
- Kill 2-3 bosses (may depend on the boss combination) to spawn a spider ghost.
- The chat emote “You feel a shadowed presence” indicates that you did it correctly.
- The spider patrols around and south of Gahz'rilla.
- Use
Agamaggan's Roar near the spider ghost. This will cause the level 52 elite Delirious Ancient to spawn.
- Kill the mob and loot
Wild Offering.
- Kill 2-3 bosses (may depend on the boss combination) to spawn a spider ghost.
- Maraudon:
- Kill Princess Theradras to spawn a raptor ghost in the water on the upper level.
The chat emote “You feel a shadowed presence” indicates that you did it correctly. - Use
Agamaggan's Roar near the raptor ghost. This will cause the level 52 elite Delirious Ancient to spawn.

- Zul’Farrak:
- Return to Shadowtooth Emissary in Felwood and turn in the quest. You’ll receive
Hyjal's Wisdom from which you can learn the rune.
Note: This questline only needs to be completed once per account starting in SoD Phase 5. You can then buy item Emblem of the Wild Gods from Pix Xizzix at 28.4 75.8 in Booty Bay and mail it to an alt char. The emblem can be redeemed at a Rune Broker in any of the major cities to unlock the corresponding rune of the class.
How to Get Coherence in SoD
You get the Coherence rune (Back) in Burning Steppes in the Season of Discovery as follows:
- Kill Greater Obsidian Elemental in Burning Steppes (e.g. around 64 30, 51 36, 36 62, and 42 44) until you get
Molten Obsidian Core.
- Jump into a body of standing water to cool
Molten Obsidian Core off and transform it.
Note: You’ll only have 10 minutes to do this. - Get
Rune of Composure from the transformed item and learn the rune from it.
How to Get Feral Spirit in SoD
You get the Feral Spirit rune (Back) in Winterspring the Season of Discovery as follows:
- Go to the cave at 67.2 40.7 in Winterspring.
- Enter the cave and stick to the left-most wall until you reach the spot where the cave splits up and down.
- Go down until you reach the level 60 elite Frijidar.
- Talk to Frijidar and free them.
- Kill Frijidar.
- Loot
Rune of the Bound Spirit and learn the rune from it.
How to Get Storm, Earth, and Fire in SoD
You get the Storm, Earth, and Fire rune (Back) in Felwood in the Season of Discovery as follows:
